If you're using the TextNow app on an iPhone (or iPad), you can now record and leave voice notes in your conversation threads.

How to use:

In your conversation screen, press and hold the microphone icon on the bottom right, and start talking. When you're done, simply press the "stop" button on the right hand side of the recording interface and send! Alternatively, if you want to re-record, you can press on the "x" on the left side of the interface to delete the recording.

Improved Conversation Search

You may have noticed that when you open up conversations in the app, there is a search bar at the top. This allows you to search within your conversations, if you're trying to find one in particular.

Before, this search would only pull up names or numbers, but we recently included the ability to search words or terms directly. Example, if you're trying to find a conversation that referenced a place, or a song, you can just search for it and find the exact conversation that mentioned it.

*If you're on an Android, this function already exists! Try it out if you haven't before.

If you open up your TextNow app's menu, you might have also noticed an option called "TextNow Perks."
