Managing Your TextNow Account

If you’re new to TextNow, or just need a refresher, take a minute with us and learn how to manage your TextNow account.

Where is My Account?

On the mobile app, you’ll find your account under the My Account section, just under your phone number on the TextNow main menu. Online, you’ll find it on the left-hand menu after you log into your account:

Whew, that’s a lot of options! Let's go through what all these options mean.

STOP! Paying for phone service

With TextNow, you get unlimited talk & text, plus essential data, for $0/month. Stay connected without paying a penny on your phone bill.

My Data: This is where you can check on your current plan (whether it's our Free Essential Data, or one of our flexible data passes!), and check out all our data pass options to purchase.

Payments: This section shows your method of payment (if you have one), as well as your purchase history and account balance. You can change your method of payment by tapping on Payment Methods.

Pro tip: Your account balance can either be used toward international calls or your data purchase.

Number & Device: Here is where you can change your phone number, or move your service to another phone.

Manage Phone Number: Start a porting request or get information to port your number out of TextNow.

Manage Device: Here’s where you can swap your service to another compatible device.

Deactivate TextNow SIM Card: When you cancel or let your data pass expire, we will always move you back to our Free Essential Data plan, where you can still stay connected for free. If you wish to stop using the nationwide service altogether, you can cancel it here.

Support: Last but certainly not least, the Support section! This is where you can find helpful articles that might answer your question, or head on over to our live chat support to speak 1-on-1 with a customer service representative for better support.
