We encourage anyone affected, or anyone who is looking to help, to follow these resources closely, stay informed, and most importantly, stay connected. Keep your loved ones at the top of your calling or texting threads, even if you lose service. If you're staying at a temporary shelter, hotel, or Airbnb, as offered by 211 LA, you can connect to Wi-Fi to stay in touch over messenger or social media apps, or even a local phone number through TextNow. Note that calls & texts to and from Mexico and Canada are also free, so you can keep any extended family and friends abroad updated as well.
